Child Development Services

Our Child Development Specialists provide services for children ages birth-3 years of age, within the family home as needed to aid families in embedding intervention targets within natural routines and activities. We help to support and aid the development of the whole child, including communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, play skills, cognitive skills, self-help skills and social-emotional development.

Applied Behavior Analysis

Our ABA services are designed to eliminate maladaptive behaviors and teach new skills, as well as to provide parent training and education. We make use of scientifically validated methods, based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and make use of Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior. We incorporate the teaching methods of Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET). Our curriculum is based off of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) (Sundberg, 2008), and the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills - Revised Edition (ABLLS-R) (Partington, 2006). Our services are provided in the clinic, home, community or school.

“Our son was not only able to successfully attend private preschool with the support of the excellent behavioral therapy services at McRory Pediatrics, but more importantly he learned how to make friends."

"When my 8 year old son started with V, he was isolated, had intense anger issues and was doing poor in school. At first we were not sure if counseling would work, but we gave it a try. Overtime my son bonded and trusted V. She has a very caring demeanor and we are grateful we found her. She has helped us grow together as a family and overcome very challenging times. People like her make a difference in the world."
